Marketing Coordinator (Part-time)

Sterling Heights, MI

Supports the day-to-day functions of the Marketing Department with a focus on social media and event planning duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists with execution of marketing plan under the direction of the Marketing Department
  • Assists in creating, updating, and developing content for social media accounts
  • Schedules social media posts at the appropriate time and monitors comments
  • Conducts research on new social media sites and other topics
  • Attends and photographs resident events
  • Assists in organizing the electronic library
  • Assists in organizing company events
  • Performs other duties as assigned
CORE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year of experience using social media apps to create and edit posts
  • A minimum of one year of event planning experience
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Creative and able to implement ideas
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to include the ability to prepare materials that are grammatically correct in a clear and concise manner and effectively speak and present to a large audience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience using MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, and the Internet, including the ability to create documents, update calendars, input content and analytical data, and conduct research    
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand spoken English
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to use standard office equipment
  • Visual acuity sufficient to perform all essential duties and responsibilities
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to all locations in the portfolio and other locations as necessary
  • Must have and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and some weekends
