Apartment Remodeling Team Member

Sterling Heights, MI

The Apartment Remodeling Team Member is a full-time position that performs various skilled and semi-skilled duties necessary to update and remodel apartment units and also performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Installs cabinets, hardware, and windows
  • Updates plumbing and electrical fixtures 
  • Installs flooring, door walls, trim, and molding  
  • Installs and finishes drywall
  • Disposes of and delivers materials 
  • Sets up appliances
  • Completes general construction and other projects 
  • Performs other duties as assigned

CORE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Working knowledge of procedures and practices of building trades
  • Ability to operate equipment and tools of the trade safely
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to be a team player 
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload
  • Ability to preform job with minimal supervision  
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand spoken English 
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of one year of general building trade or construction experience 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to all locations in the portfolio as necessary
  • Must have and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
